Pierre Hammond & Andy Van Houtte will be presenting at Changing Perceptions 2019!
Andy Van Houtte is the WPMA Design Guide Manager and also the Structural Manager at CGW Consulting Engineers, providing professional engineering services to clients in Australasia. His responsibilities include, overseeing the structural engineering team, mentoring staff, business development and assisting with the continuous improvement.
Prior to this he spent 14 years in the Engineered Wood Manufacturing Industry in various roles of production, product development, sales, marketing, promotional, educational, technical and management positions.Andy is also currently an Associate Director at BRANZ, a member of the Institute of Directors, a Chartered Professional Engineer, is involved in a number of technical societies and holds the following qualifications Bachelor of Engineering (Forestry Engineering), Masters of Engineering (Structural), Masters of Business Administration.
Pierre Hammond is a South African qualified and registered architect who worked in South Africa as a Project Architect on high-end residential projects before moving to London where he worked for on large scale Hospitality, Commercial and Mixed –Use projects around the globe. In South Africa he honed his detailing skills while working on high-end houses for international clients in Cape Town. In London he worked on four and five star hotel developments worldwide along with large scale commercial and mixed use projects in the Far East, Europe, Africa and Middle East.
After joining Arthouse Architects in 2017 he has worked mainly on medical projects around the country including new build projects in Pakuranga and Lower Hutt.
Pierre brings with him experience of leading large multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex integrated projects for clients. Combined with a good understanding of resolving details and problem solving on site leads to delivering good quality projects on time and within budget.
